Don Gifford’s kitchen

This was one of the first Signature series. John was intrigued by the many objects that seemed to become a signature of the people who lived in that place.

The myriad domestic details that make up everyone’s place are evident including a poster for the Russian Icons exhibition, the photography of which Fields had done.

At this time Don lived at Charlotte St, later demolished.  He used the neighbouring section to build his ferro-cement yacht.
